Lifestyle Fitness announces completion of refurbishment at Lightwater Leisure Centre

Lifestyle Fitness is excited to announce the completion of their refurbishment at Lightwater Leisure Centre. Working in collaboration with The Lightwater Playing Fields Association and Surrey Heath Borough Council, Lifestyle Fitness have created a brand-new cafe (operated by the locally renowned Fieldhouse Coffee), an atmospheric cycling studio, premium sauna and upgraded changing facilities, a refreshed and upgraded gym floor with new equipment and brand-new bespoke studios.

“We are very excited to announce the completion of our refurbishment works at Lightwater Leisure Centre,” said Lifestyle Fitness Managing Director James Lawrence. “These works have delivered an amazing new facility, meaning that Lightwater Leisure Centre is really on the map as one of the top sports and fitness facilities in the UK. We have taken on board feedback from all users and are delighted to be able to offer our gym members an amazing new cycle studio and high end changing facilities complete with sauna, our pickleball players a new local cafe to relax in and socialise post game and our leading ballet school, two brand new purpose built studios. These works really offer something for everyone within the community.”

Work on refurbishment has been underway over the last 12 months, with build works phased out to ensure no closures were necessary and there was minimal disruption to those who use the site. The revamp of the gym-floor and the introduction of new kit, such as the cutting-edge SPEEDFLEX Blade and a new functional training arena, which was completed earlier this year, and has already been well received by Lifestyle Fitness members and the local community.

“We are so pleased with the final product,” said the board of Trustees for Lightwater Playing Fields Association. "Our members and the wider community have requested many of these features over the years, and we are sure they’ll be happy to see the newly revamped Leisure Centre, with their feedback taken on board!”

Lifestyle Fitness are a family-run business who have been operating in the health & fitness sector for over 40 years. Offering high-quality fitness hubs at an affordable price and listening to the local community is of paramount importance, according to Managing Director James. “We have been supporting the community of Lightwater for over 15 years now, and we are so excited to complete this latest investment which really has something for everyone.”

The Lightwater Leisure Centre team are hosting a family friendly open day on Saturday 7th October from 10am to show off the new centre, with an open invite for anyone in the community who wants to check out their new facilities. There will be activities for all, whether that be to enjoy a Fieldhouse Coffee, try out a free class in the new cycling studio, or have a family-day out with child’s face painting and competitions on offer. You can find out more information on the Lifestyle Fitness website here, or follow Lifestyle Fitness Lightwater on social media for updates on the open day.
