Celebrating World Health Day

Celebrating World Health Day and 75 Years of the World Health Organisation

April 7th is World Health Day!

The theme for this year is Health For All, which emphasizes the need for everyone, regardless of where they live or their social and economic status, to have access to high-quality health care. As the World Health Organization (WHO) celebrates its 75th anniversary, we consider the progress that has been made and the work that still needs to be done to make healthcare and wellbeing a priority for all.

The WHO was established in 1948 with the intention of promoting health as a fundamental human right. Since then, the organization has been instrumental in the fight against HIV/AIDS, smallpox, and polio. In more recent years, The WHO has contributed to the fight against non-communicable diseases like diabetes and cancer, which can often be prevented by healthy lifestyle choices, as well as advocating for mental health reform and promoting well-being.

Here at Lifestyle Fitness, we share the WHO's commitment to promoting Health For All and ensuring fitness and wellbeing are a priority in society. We believe that everyone has a right to access the resources and tools they require to lead a healthy life, regardless of their age, gender, or fitness ability. Anyone can achieve their health objectives with the appropriate assistance and encouragement. Because of this, we have made it our mission to create a welcoming and encouraging setting where our members can feel confident and empowered to take full control of their health.

We are reminded of the progress we have made and the work that needs to be done as we commemorate World Health Day on the WHO's 75th anniversary. We are committed to helping everyone become healthier and to giving our members the tools they need to live their best lives.
